Megan Colwell

Let me Introduce myself, My name is Megan Colwell, Owner and Director of They Beauty & Body Bar and First Things first Wellness Centre. 

I Joing First Things First as Sales and Marketing Manager in 2007, and Since 2010 I have been the Director of First Things First Wellness Centre, one of Townsville’s leading Wellness Health and Beauty Centres.

 As the Director,  I am responsible for the financial outcomes of the business, administrative management and human resources coordination.  Demonstrating a high level of motivation, personal drive and integrity, I have successfully balanced work with the ability to multitask and remain focused. My career to date has involved diverse responsibilities, which have enabled me to develop excellent personal and professional skills. Exhibiting a record of commitment, consistency and a focus on quality service and outcomes, I possess practical experience and a range of professional skills and strengths that will allow me to succeed in this role. 

 I have Combined  my passion for health care and allied health with my love for all things Beauty and my superior people skills and administrative talent.  From developing administrative systems and managing organisational procedures to building solid relationships, I am able to offer comprehensive office leadership and support. My ability to interact across organisational levels along with excellent problem solving and communication skills, prepares me to thrive in this challenging  environment.

 Instrumental in contributing to exceptional business execution and committed to team performance. Ensuring correct processes are followed and the culture within the organisation upheld, from onboarding staff to payroll and ensuring all human resource needs are met.  I conduct myself  in an inclusive manner and display the initiative required in building productive relationships.  As the current President of the Townsville Business Women’s Circle, I have been successful in building rapport in all network settings and interactions.  Exhibiting a commitment to supporting constructive working relationships, I manifest this through valuing individual difference and diversity, recognising the working styles of individuals and factoring this into the management of tasks.  This was formally recognised by my nomination and position as Finalist for the Townsville Business Woman of the Year.
