Valentine's Day 2019.. Supporting Those Affected by the Floods

Written by Megan Colwell

What a week, we have all just endured at the hands of Mother Nature. Not only that, we have a big job ahead of us. We believe in Karma and Putting Good into the world and seeing it return in ways we never expected. So even though we are down, we are not out. Being at our lowest has shown us the importance of being there for each other and this is why we want to help. We want to make Valentines Day about More than “love”. We want it to be about, Gratitude, Heartfelt Thanks, Support, Just Plain appreciation for what we have and who we have in our lives. So we have decided, although it’s a small gesture, it's meaningful and every little bit counts. We wish to donate Money from our Valentine’s Day Gift Vouchers to flood victims.   We have decided that 15% of our proceeds of our Valentines Day Gift Vouchers will be donated to GIVIT donations for the purchase of essential items for our flood victims, this is all about supporting the community and keeping the money in our community.   As a small business affected by the floods, consider a Massage or some time out to those in need from a local business to get us all back on our feet sooner.   Stay Dry and Keep Smiling, Love Megan   Purchase Online Here:

Text Neck: The Modern Phenomena

Written by Emma Tommasini

Text neck is the term used to describe the neck pain and damage sustained from looking down at your mobile phone, tablet  or laptop too frequently and for too long. Using a mobile device often can lead to poor posture and symptoms of text neck. And it seems increasingly common

Our lifestyles today are really not in favor of treating our neck well. A recent survey states that the average mobile phone user spends 3 hours per day surfing the net or scrolling social media platforms. No wonder we are getting frequent headaches or feeling cloudy and tired all the time.

The Stretches You Must Know For a Tension Free Body

Written by Emma Tommasini

Mark has been a remedial massage therapist at First Things First Wellness Centre for 2 years with over 20 years of previous experience. During this time he has come across certain areas of the body that are commonly in pain.

Today Mark is showing us some simple but crucial stretches to help alleviate tension, stress and soreness in these common areas.

Self Maintenance is just as important as your massage so making sure these stretches are done regularly will help to lengthen the time needed between your massage treatments. Please be aware that all stretches should only be to the point of resistance rather than to pain.
