What Is Endermologie®?

Endermologie® is a non-invasive pain free cellulite reduction and body reshaping treatment. The head of the keymodule is guided over the whole body for thirty-five minutes, targeting problem areas. During the treatment the skin is gently folded and unfolded, under continuous action of rollers, allowing for smooth regulated deep tissue mobilization.

Endermologie® works to break down cellulite, improves skin fitness, and breaks down fatty pockets to reshape your body. The negative pressure (suction) increases the lymphatic and vascular fluid flow through the congested tissue while the motorized rollers push the fluid from around the fat cells, reducing them in size and eliminating the appearance of dimples, giving a smooth flat appearance of the skin.

During the process increased blood flow stimulates the regeneration of the skin. At the same time elastin and collagen production is increased helping to repair the skin at a cellular level.

What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite is mainly caused by toxin build-up in your body, and the inability of the body to eliminate them efficiently.

All muscles in the body are covered with a padding of fatty, connective tissue, which varies in thickness, and is surrounded by a liquid, supplying this "covering" with nourishment and removing waste products.

This fatty tissue is held in place by a network of fibres, and when the system works well, all waste products are removed from this system, resulting in smooth body curves. When the waste removal system starts to fail, waste products start building up, and the connective tissue becomes saturated with liquid, which becomes sluggish and is often inflamed and swollen. Growing adipocytes destroy the network made by elastin and collagen fibres, which then thickens and hardens, forming hard pockets that puff up to produce the "orange peel" or "cottage cheese" effect.

The skin appears dimpled because the vertical connective tissue is pulling down on the skin while the enlarged fat cells are pushing up against the skin. Cellulite is a skin condition that affects women of all ages, shapes and sizes.
